Why did you become a teacher?  
My freshmen year of college I was taking a class that was about volunteerism and with my mother being a teacher I knew that teachers could always use a helping hand. It truthfully came as a surprise to me while doing this volunteering that I actually loved it and went on to make it my own career.

Where did you go to college? 
University of Colorado.  GO BUFFS!!!

Do you have any special training or expertise?  
I have a passion for technology and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

What are your hobbies?
I love to spend the winter in the mountains skiing and relaxing and the summers at the pool with a good book!  I also love to travel and have a long list of places I'd love to visit!

What's your favorite children's book? 
Jilliam Jiggs, by Phoebe Gilman and Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor.

Why did you become a teacher?  
I just knew I wanted to work with people and children.

Colorado College and graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

I am bilingual in Spanish and have a multi-culutural bilingual Teaching certificate.

What are your hobbies?
Cooking, walking, soccer, skiing, my children, and social justice.

What's your favorite children's book? 
The Lorax by Dr. Seuss.

Why did you become a teacher?  
Because I wanted to help kids know how much fun it is to learn.

Central Michigan University.

Master's Degree in Reading.

Gardening, playing with puppies, genealogy, taking care of chickens, going to the gym, cooking, just about anything.

They know I care about them because we have fun.

Why did you become a teacher?  
I met a special needs kid in college who inspired me, and my heart wanted to help special needs children. Having always been interested in psychology, I found the many syndromes and their unique properties interesting and stimulating.

Where did you go to college? 
University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota.  Minot State University in North Dakota.  University of Northern Colorado.

Do you have any special training or expertise? 
I have training in special education, psychology, behavior modification, and health/physical education.

What are your hobbies?
I like to run, spectate as well as play different sports. I like gardening and reading non-fiction. 

What's your favorite children's book? 
If Only I Had a Green Nose, by Max Lucado.

What's your favorite subject to teach?
Math and Science.

How many years have you been a teacher? 
12 years.

Why did you become a teacher?  
I noticed that I was a good dance teacher when I was a teenager and in my early 20s, and I really enjoyed working with children ages 4-10. So I thought I might enjoy being a classroom teacher.

Where did you go to college? 
CSU. When I was there, I got a graphic arts degree and then in my late 20s I went back to school at Metro in downtown Denver.

Do you have any special training or expertise?  
I’m a 2nd degree black belt in TaeKwanDo.

What are your hobbies?
I also enjoy stain glass ceramics.

What's your favorite children's book? 
Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.

How many more years are you going to teach?
As many as I can. This is a great school.

My aunt was a teacher and it was a practical career and I wanted to be an Art or PE teacher.

University of Texas at Austin.

Coaching sports, swimming, track, gymnastics, and basketball.

What are your hobbies?
Spirituality, cooking, reading, track and field, to run 400 meters in Brazil in 2013.

Warlords Puzzle.

Why did you come to this school?
Health oriented school, lots of activities and wild and crazy.

Until I retire!

Why did you become a teacher?  
She started teaching because she enjoyed helping kids. Throughout her day, she says kids inspire her, give her energy, and keep her young.

University of Colorado in Boulder.

Spanish and a type D administrator certificate.

What are your hobbies?
In her spare time, she likes to listen to talk radio, play the piano (when no one is watching), draw, write, and read books by William Steiy.

Isabel Allende.

Any additional information you'd like to share?
While Mrs. Romero is teaching, it makes her feel proud of her students and excited to work with so many wonderful people.

How many years have you been a teacher? 
30 years.

Why did you become a teacher?  
Mrs. Durkee had no clue what job she wanted, so she looked around. Her sister worked at a school and she went to visit there and fell in love with the place and kids.

Where did you go to college? 
The colleges Mrs. Durkee went to were CSU where she got her BA and UNC where she got her Master’s degree in Education.

Do you have any special training or expertise?  
She was fluent in Spanish and French, but still has some knowledge.

What are your hobbies?
Mrs. Durkee has 7 hobbies and they are scuba diving, horseback riding, swimming, skiing, travelling, making homemade cards, and reading.

What's your favorite children's book? 
True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.

Addition information?
She has been almost everywhere in Europe, like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain. Also, she’s been to many of the islands, like Jamaica, St. Thomas, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. Mrs. Durkee is one of our best teachers here at University Park.

Why did you become a teacher?  
She decided to be a teacher because she has always loved school, she likes being busy, and she loves kids because they make her laugh. She chose University Park to teach at because the staff had a very good reputation of getting along really well. The kids also had a good reputation for always loving to learn.

Where did you go to college? 
University of Northern Colorado.

Do you have any special training or expertise? 
I have extra training in how to work with English language learners.

What are your hobbies?
Running, skiing, soccer, traveling and reading.
